Being able to communicate efficiently your research beyond your own research group is essential. This workshop is a should not be missed opportunity to improve your communication skills and develop your abilities to make your work shine and results resonate with your target audiences.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll delve into science communication basics and explore the dynamic PechaKucha presentation format. Together, we’ll uncover techniques to captivate and sustain audience interest during your presentations.

About the instructor : Dr. Alexandra Gellé
As a knowledge mobilization consultant, Alexandra derives immense joy and inspiration from illuminating the work of others. Her approach to knowledge mobilization is defined by her love of crafting impactful strategies and telling captivating stories that resonate deeply with the people who need to hear them.
Alexandra holds a PhD in green chemistry and nanosciences (McGill University, ‘21), and has years of experience in making complex scientific concepts accessible. She has worked with people from all walks of life – from speaking to youth in museums, to working with public servants and Indigenous communities. Training other scientists in science communication has been at the forefront of Alexandra’s work for several years, including co-founding two not-for-profit organizations dedicated to building capacity in science communication for graduate students.
